Ernie needs your help to get the medical treatment he needs to grow up healthy and strong!
Ernie is a tiny puppy who was transferred to Cooper's Chance Animal Rescue from another shelter that did not have the resources to care for newborn dogs. He was the smallest one in the litter, and is struggling with multiple health issues. He is underweight and dehydrated, has existing skin issues, parasites and hookworm, valley fever, and has an upper respiratory infection.
Ernie needs to be bottle fed with a special formula because he is underweight, and given fluids for dehydration. His treatment will include medicated baths for his skin issues and medication for the upper respiratory infection. Treatment for valley fever takes longer. It requires Fluconazole for 3-6 months, with titer testing every 6 months to ensure his recovery.
Even though Ernie is facing a lot of obstacles in his young life, he is a fighter. All of his medical concerns are treatable with proper care. Thankfully, his early diagnosis and young age mean his prognosis is good.
You can help Ernie feel better! Your gift will go directly to provide Ernie with the medication and special care he needs to overcome his challenges. Soon, he will find a forever home and a loving family.
Help us meet our goal of $2,500 to help Ernie grow up strong. Funds raised over the goal amount will go to help provide medical care to other shelter pets.
