Sara needs your help to get the medical treatment she needs to continue living out her life!
Sara is a loving young dog who was transferred to Southern Animal Volunteer Effort from another shelter that did not have the resources or funds to care for her medical needs. She was hit by a car leaving her with a ruptured bladder, a fractured pelvis, and broken legs. She is showing signs of paralysis, but the doctor is hoping those will go away with the swelling. She came in with rough conditions, but there is hope with good medical care.
Sara needs surgery to repair her legs, her bladder, and her fractured pelvis. She may need an amputation down the road, but there is hope that the feeling will come back after swelling subsides. Her bladder will be immediately better upon surgery, and the legs and pelvis will begin to heal as soon as surgery is complete. After surgery and recovery, she will need rehabilitation for a few months.
You can help Sara through her healing journey! Your gift will go directly to provide Sara with the surgery and special care she needs to overcome her challenges. Soon, she will find a forever home and a loving family.
Help us meet our goal of $7,200 to help Sara Recover. Funds raised over the goal amount will go to help provide medical care to other shelter pets.
